So you’re planning a trip to Puglia’s stunning Valle d’Itria, and you’re wondering where to base yourself?
I won’t lie – it might be a hard decision! This charming and one-of-a-kind region is dotted with innumerable quaint villages (looking at you Cisternino and Locorotondo) inviting you to stop and stay awhile, as well as peaceful rural masserie where you can unwind poolside to the sound of complete silence.
They all have their arguments – you can explore the best small-town hotels and rural resorts here – but one Itrian city rises above the rest as a totally convenient, totally scene-stealing option: Ostuni.
If the sheer number of beautiful Ostuni hotels isn’t enough to convince you of this, just consider how much the Città Bianca (the White City, as it’s known) has going for it:
- It’s conveniently located exactly halfway between Bari and Lecce (1 hour in each direction)
- It’s less than 15 minutes from the beach
- It’s one of the more bustling towns in the Valle d’Itria, meaning you’ll be spoiled for choice in terms of restaurants, cafés, and bars
- It may get crowded with tourists, but given there’s quite a large “new” section to the city, it still manages to feel charmingly local and authentic
So if you’re now convinced that staying here is something to consider, which exactly are the best hotels in Ostuni?
That’s where this list comes in. I’ve hand-picked 10 stunning Ostuni hotels and B&Bs that fit every price point. Let’s jump in!

Short on time? TL;DR:
If you’re trying to book in a hurry or just don’t want to scroll through a bunch of recommendations, here’s my cheat sheet of top picks for where to stay in Ostuni.
My choice of Ostuni hotels for any budget or requirement:
- Favorite Splurge: Paragon 700 Boutique Hotel
- Trendy & Affordable: Il Sogno delle Benedettine
- Vintage Luxury: Palazzo Stunis – Dimora di Charme
- Best Value Ostuni B&B: Casa Flamì
How My Budget Tiers Work
The best hotels in Ostuni cover every imaginable price point, as you might expect, but it’s worth noting that the popularity of this town as a base for travelers to Puglia means prices here will trend slightly higher than the surrounding areas.
Whereas I normally try to consider my “luxury” tier to be $200+ per night, in Ostuni there are several mid-range hotels that creep up towards $250/night.
For what it’s worth, I still think Ostuni hotels are absolutely worth the slightly higher cost but it is obviously worth considering that a cheaper stay nearby could be just as rewarding.
Here’s the breakdown of budget categories in this post, all in USD:
- Budget – €: Under $150/night
- Mid-Range – €€: $150 to $250/night
- Luxury – €€€: $250+/night
Of course, prices will fluctuate between the high season (July-August) and the rest of the year, but these ranges should be accurate most of the time.
